REDIRECTING THE FUTURE

ST.MICHAEL HOSPITAL / MASSIVART L’exposition Redirecting the Future: The Intersection of Health and Poverty was intended to be a form of awareness of the variations in health conditions of individuals in relation to their socio-economic context. Ottomata was commissioned to create a simple and affordable technological solution that would symbolize the common thread of the exhibition. In the gesture of holding hands, forming a social circle, an informative video was triggered. Not only the presence of the visitor, but his position in the social circle were necessary for the content to appear. Conductive materials integrated into the wooden structure and the programming of a microcomputer made the project possible.
